NST ada maksud tersirat

Macam yang aku cakap entri sebelum ni, aku selalu beli NST. Dan kali ni, ada satu berita dia cakap pasal "Pas: We'll enforce Islamic laws".


Wah, bagusnya NST. Dia cakap pasal PAS.


Woah, berhenti di situ. Kau ingat dia senang-senang nak kasi up lawan tuan dia? Salah tanggapan kau.


Di sini aku nak highlight beberapa elemen dalam berita ni, yang aku rasa, semacam.




LABIS: The setting up of an Islamic state and implementation of Islamic laws were the main selling points at a Pas function held at Felda Chemplak Barat near here on Monday night.
The event, which attracted some 200 people, was attended by president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, Johor Pas commissioner Datuk Mahfuz Mohamad and Labis Muslimah chief Normala Sudirman -- who is expected to be named as the party's candidate in the Tenang by-election on Jan 30.

Mahfuz, the first speaker, told the crowd that Pas would push for the setting up of an Islamic state once the party and its allies took over the Federal Government.

He said Pas would also insist on the implementation of Islamic laws once in power and this included limb amputation for convicted thieves and stoning to death for adulterers.

Insisting that such laws will be fair to all, he pointed that for an offence such as sodomy, which is punishable by death, a victim would be required to present four supporting witnesses who were "good Muslims" before the accused could be convicted.

"It is a just law as those who failed to produce four witnesses and making false allegations is punishable with 80 strokes of the rotan."

Normala said Pas was a party which fought for the setting-up of an Islamic state and she pledged that everyone would be treated fairly regardless of their religion.

Hadi, who was the final and main speaker of the night, highlighted Pas' alliance with non-Islamic parties such as DAP, maintaining that it was cooperating with the party without sacrificing its struggles and principles.

He also elaborated about the punishment of limb amputation, which he insisted could be used as a deterrent against theft.

Hadi claimed that Islamic laws were better than other types of law as its penalties would deter potential criminals from committing a crime.

"In Saudi Arabia, where Islamic laws are implemented, there were only about 10 instances where convicted thieves had their hands amputated over a period of 20 years.

"This shows that Islamic laws deter people from stealing.

"We can compare that to, for instance, New York in the United States where there are thousands of cases of thefts, rapes and murders every hour."

Dah baca. Kau paham tak yang aku highlight tu?  Kalau tak paham, tak apa, aku cuba terang sedaya mampu.

Daripada dulu, aku dapat rasakan, dalam bidang penulisan ni, dia macam ada satu skil, satu teknik. Aku bukan nak kata aku pakar, lagipun aku ni pelajar aliran sains. Aku cuma kata, wartawan ni, diorang macam ada satu teknik, di mana kalau kita kononnya bersikap terbuka, open-minded, tapi dalam masa yang sama, kita kena memperlekehkan pihak itu dalam senyap. Paham tak?

Senang cakap macam ini lah. Penulis untuk berita ni, konon nampak dia tak berat sebelah lah kan. Dia cakap juga pasal PAS. Tapi kalau kau cuba teliti betul-betul apa yang dia tulis, dia macam nak condemn.

Okay, mungkin ada antara kau akan cakap yang aku ni cakap tanpa asas. Tak apa, biar aku bentangkan hujah aku dulu. Lepas tu kalau kau tak setuju, boleh komen kemudian. Dan aku akan tarik balik apa yang aku cakap ni. Deal?

Okay ini dia:

1. "Main selling points" : Seolah-olah dia nak cakap, isu menegakkan hukum Allah, undang-undang Islam ni, adalah satu lagi modal pilihanraya PAS. Bukan ke kita belajar, yang hukum Allah ni memang WAJIB kena tegakkan. Allah yang cakap, bukan PAS.

2. "Insists" : Kalau kau perasan, dalam perenggan ke-3, penulis banyak benor guna 'insists'. Insist dari apa yang aku paham

Penulis macam nak cakap, Ustaz Hadi seolah-olah 'berpendapat' yang hudud ni bagus dan terbaik. Dia nak cakap, Ustaz Hadi yang kata. Bukan Allah.

3. "Hadi claimed that Islamic laws..." : Sekali tengok ayat ni, aku dah facepalm terus. Sama dengan point nombor 2 tadi. Encik penulis, bukan Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang yang claimed that Islamic laws is better than any other types of laws in the whole world, tapi Tuhan yang cakap. Bukan PAS. Haish.

Okay, itu hujah aku. Kalau tak puas hati, sila cakap.

Dan lagi satu, ada satu benda penulis tak cakap. Mungkin dia terlupa, atau sengaja tak nak letak untuk menakutkan orang Malaysia, itu aku tak tahu. Dia tak cakap yang hukum hudud ni untuk orang Islam sahaja. ORANG ISLAM SAHAJA.

Islam itu relevan untuk semua manusia, tempat, dan zaman.
